Jared Smith

Jared Smith is the co-founder of RXBAR, a disruptive food company which he founded in 2012 alongside his childhood friend, Peter Rahal. During his time at RXBAR, Jared served as its Chief Financial Officer from inception through to the acquisition by Kellogg in 2017. The foundation that RXBAR was built upon enables Jared to provide knowledge, empathy, and experience to each role within an organization at all phases of a company’s lifecycle.

Jared currently serves as the Chief Investment Officer of Villiam Ventures, his family office designed to invest in and mentor early-stage consumer brands. Jared holds multiple board positions and advisory roles across the food and beverage space.

Jared grew up in the western suburbs of Chicago, where he graduated with a business degree in Finance and Economics from DePaul University. Jared enjoys spending time with his family, working, and being active.
